Purpose

We are looking for a forward-thinking, inquisitive finance manager who will challenge our data and revenues, make informed suggestions and highlight performance improvement opportunities (from the creation of opportunities, customer profitability segmentation, and opportunity/risk; to reporting and tracking data and interrogating data to make better-informed decisions.

Day to day duties:
•    Prepare Monthly Management accounts including financial accounts reconciliation
•    Posting various journals including, accruals, prepayments etc
•    Building budget deck for FY trading with the MD and key business leaders, and managing the monthly budget/ forecast updates
•    Closing month-end and year-end
•    Liaising with the MD, CEO and Team Managers regards weekly trading, forecasting and reporting accurately
•    Fixed asset management
•    Cash flow management & analysis
•    Preparing VAT returns
•    Overseeing other aspects of financial operations with the Business Support team (from AP/ AR, payroll, invoicing, collection, credit control etc) 
•    Intercompany reconciliation with Group companies, including international entities
•    Ongoing simplification of existing financial control processes and systems
•    Development of MI to stakeholders in the business, this could include the introduction of dashboards and analytics tools


Core Skills:
•    Qualified Accountant (ACCA/ ACA/ CIMA) or finalist (last few remaining exams with the aim to complete – we will support your studies and financially contribute towards your exams/ professional development)
•    Prior experience in the production of management accounts
•    Strong interpersonally - able to confidently business partner with non-finance colleagues
•    Analytically minded
•    Good team player
•    Recruitment or transferrable experience could be advantageous, but not essential, along with experience of working across various countries and differing legislations
•    Confidentiality, discretion, and a strong moral compass are critical skills plus pace & urgency!
